I’d been suffering with toenail fungus for longer than I’d care to remember. Not that it’s a killer or anything like that. No. It’s more of a pain than anything else. Unsightly, and yes, it can be painful because the skin that was previously below the nail can become chafed if the nail falls off, which in my case, often is the case.
Anyhow, I set about looking for a nail fungus cure. I wanted to try out some home remedies before anything else. I’m a bit of a home remedy buff, if you will.
I tried tea tree oil, but with little effect. It would look like the fungus was disappearing but it would always come back again. Then I tried Vicks Vaporub, and the same sort of thing happened as with the tea tree oil.
So, what I then did, which is very much in the category of home remedies for toenail fungus was to file my nails down rather a lot. Once I’d done that, I would rest my feet in a bowl of warm water mixed with vinegar. Yes, just plain old vinegar. That helped to keep my feet clean.
I would keep my feet in the water and vinegar mix for about an hour every evening after work. Perhaps while watching television or when I was on the computer or something like that. It’s really a nice thing to do – very relaxing.
After what felt like an age – perhaps 6 or 7 months of doing this, the fungus disappeared and it’s not returned either. So this home remedy really does work. Works better than anything else I ever tried I can tell you.
If you are trying to figure out how to treat toenail fungus, then I would recommend this method to you. Sure, it takes ages to work, but it does really work and it’s obviously a very cheap and affordable method to get rid of the fungus once and for all.
No need for any expensive cures that simply don’t do the job that you are hoping they’ll do.
